Short answer: once you have your certificate from a Registered Yoga School, create an account on yogaalliance.org, choose to register as a teacher, select your school and course, and pay Yoga Alliance's fees. The school then confirms your training, and your RYT credential appears on your profile.
Step by step
- Complete the course and receive your certificate.
- Create a free account at yogaalliance.org.
- Choose "Register as a teacher" and the credential — RYT 200, RYT 500 or RPYT.
- Find your school (Om Yoga International) and select the course you completed.
- Pay the application fee and the first year's annual fee shown at checkout.
- The school confirms your training — usually within a few days.
Costs
Yoga Alliance charges a one-time application fee and an annual membership fee, set by Yoga Alliance and paid to them directly. They are not part of your course fee. Check yogaalliance.org for the current amounts.
Do you have to register?
No. Your certificate stands on its own and many teachers work without registering. Registration helps when a studio, insurer or overseas employer asks for an RYT number.
If something goes wrong
If your course does not appear or your confirmation is delayed, message admissions with your name, course and batch dates and we will sort it out with Yoga Alliance.
